Myriam Rabaste, LPC
For the last 14 years, I have devoted my life to working with people who have experienced trauma, to help them heal and grow.
As a child, I remember feeling cold, scared and alone in the world. I felt invisible in my pain, faced with the indifference of people too busy to notice. The pain and the traumas were real, and it took me years to heal using anything from sheer will power to a variety of therapies.
I am incredibly grateful and fortunate that I do not carry the weight of the past anymore. I often wondered what would have happened if I had found the right type of support and help sooner. The struggle created purpose, and I felt driven to keep anyone in my care from feeling invisible and alone in their pain.
My journey took me from my native France, through different countries where I enjoyed a fulfilling life working with people from various cultures, to Denver, CO where I completed my Master’s degree in counseling.
Eventually, I made my way to Charlotte after spending 6 years in Ohio. I have since, with my favorite partner in crime, Adah (the best dog ever!), enjoyed the beauty of North Carolina.
I worked in different settings and pursued additional training in EMDR, brainspotting, hypnotherapy, crisis intervention, victim advocacy and grief counseling. I gained the experience and tools needed to provide you with some of the most effective therapies available.
I specialize in the following:
- traumas
- PTSD
- C-PTSD
